A red pepper powder is prepd. continuously by (a) washing the dryed red pepper powder (I) with 120 deg.C steam for 5-10 sec., (b) pressing the washed (I) and removing the stem of (I) in the roller (relative line speed is 20-30 cm/sec), (c) drying the obtd. (I) with 40-50 deg.C air, (d) crude-pulverizing the dryed (I) to obtain the peel and the seed, (e) pulverizing the obtd. seed to obtain the 5- 10 mesh seed powder (II) (f) mixing the (II) with the obtd. peel and re-pulverizing, and (g) passing it through compression screw and drying at 40-60 deg.C for 5-10 min. to obtain the final product.
